Just to show you a few that my family has received. Pictured here are 2 that measured 7 3/4 millimeters, 2 that measured 7 1/4 millimeters in cream and very white. We also have gotten lucky enough to get a 7 millimeter black pearl and a 6 millimeter blue pearl. When I took the blue pearl in to a local jeweler to try and get a match. First they wanted to know where I got it, then they informed me that 1 in 600 oysters produce a blue pearl, then the price $80.00.

Why Akoya pearls?
Akoya pearls tend to be the most consistently round and near round making them ideal for matching and making multipearl jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets.  Freshwater pearls can have other shapes and more surface blemishes, making them harder to match.  Akoya pearls are generally more valuable than freshwater. Getting a genuine Akoya pearl with a sterling silver necklace and cage make this wish pearl giftset an added value.
Akoya  pearls, besides being more consistently round, typically have a brighter shine and higher luster. Akoya pearls do not have as many surface blemishes as other wish pearls being offered on the market today.
They make excellent gifts for every holiday. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa,  Easter, Valentines, Mother's Day, Graduation, and Confirmation the list is endless.  Even for those who are hard to buy for, aunts, grandmothers, God-mothers, babysitters, friends of the family and don't forget all the teachers, secretaries, assistants and anyone else you want to share something special with. They can also be given to bridesmaids and flowergirls and they will also have something to remember that special day. Start a family tradition, give them on special occasions and take the pearls to your local jeweler to be drilled for a necklace or bracelet.
